Favorite thing about Seattle that you can't find anywhere else?

I love that Seattle, and in particular my district of West Seattle, is home to an arcade bar called Vidiot. It is located in the heart of the Admiral District. They have a huge selection of arcade games, pinball games, board games, and PC games. Everything is free to play, except pinball.

Favorite places to eat, drink, and play in the city?

So many to choose from, can I give you a list? The Luna Park Cafe is one of my many favorites—fantastic milkshakes, generous sangria pours, fun family atmosphere, and affordable. What more could you want?

One thing a Seattle visitor shouldn't miss?

A Seattle visitor should not miss the open-air, heated, saltwater Colman Pool on the beach at the fantastic Lincoln Park (a gem in its own right). How often can you swim in a pool while simultaneously enjoying a stunning panoramic view of water, islands, and mountains?

Something in Seattle most people don't know about?

Many people do not know that the Chelan Cafe near Harbor Island is one of the city's only restaurants unaffiliated with a hotel with union labor! They are also the starting point for my annual Labor Ride supporting the Labor Archive of Washington. Patronize the Chelan Cafe when you can.
